Don't leave packing until the last minute, says travel expert

Brits jetting off on cheap holidays to Florida and other popular destinations this year have been advised not to leave their packing until the last minute.

According to travel expert Jasmine Harman, if you want to look stylish once you arrive, then your clothing should be sorted out as far in advance as possible.

"Give yourself time to work out different combinations so you can use the same outfit more than once," she commented.

Ms Harman noted that a pretty summer skirt can be dressed down with flip-flops during the day or combined with jewellery and high heels in the evening.

She added that there is no need to over-pack and suggested that it is possible to get by with hand luggage if you are extremely resourceful.

A recent poll by Lloyds TSB revealed that 35.6 million Britons are planning to take a holiday abroad over the coming year.
