Brits 'not savvy with insurance'
British families heading off on
holidays to Turkey and other popular destinations over the coming months have been urged to invest in a travel insurance policy before leaving the UK.
Stephen Ebbett, a spokesperson at insurance provider Protect Your Bubble, said taking out adequate cover is a must.
"Britons have always had a sense of adventure and we tend to travel a lot, but I don't think we are any more or less savvy than other nationalities when it comes to insurance," he commented.
With policies available from as little as £5, it makes sense to buy travel insurance before taking a holiday to Turkey or elsewhere, Mr Ebbett noted.
He added that people who jet abroad more than twice a year can save money by purchasing an annual policy instead of single trip cover.
A recent survey carried out by the company revealed that one in four Britons still travel abroad without insurance protection.
