Brits encouraged to consider Kenya for winter holidays
Brits planning adventurous
winter holidays this year have been encouraged to consider Kenya.
Angie Sloan, UK director of the Kenya Tourist Board, singled out Mombasa as a particularly suitable destination for visitors from the UK.
She pointed out that it offers attractions including scenic stretches of coastline, warm weather and a relaxing atmosphere that visitors can enjoy at the end of a safari
holiday.
"Mombasa is the gateway to 500km of breathtaking Indian Ocean coastline with year-round warm temperatures, and is a great value-for-money winter sun destination for British tourists," said Ms Sloan.
"The region is also easily accessible from a number of national parks around Kenya and is the perfect spot to chill out after a safari."
She also highlighted some of the experiences and activities on offer in the region, such as deep-sea fishing, whale watching and kite surfing.
Other long-haul destinations on offer to Brits planning adventurous
package holidays include Australia, Canada and South Africa.
