All-inclusive holidays 'to be popular next year'

All-inclusive holidays will be increasingly popular in 2010, new research indicates.

Consumers will still be focused on making the most of their available funds when it comes to taking a trip next year - so "recession-busting" breaks will be very popular, according to Teletext.

The company noted that the "hi-de-hi" image of all-inclusive vacations has been shed, as many resorts upgrade their facilities in order to offer travellers a truly luxurious break - and also allow them to keep track of their cash as effectively as possible.

Other types of holiday that are set to become increasingly popular in 2010 include "pound-stretcher" breaks that offer the best value for money, as well as last-minute adventures.

"In 2010, people will remember that life isn't a standing order that has to be the same month in month out. This will be due to the increase in technology that allows them to plan closer than ever to departure," the company concluded.

Earlier this month, Abta - The Travel Association, said that Egypt, Turkey and South Africa are likely to be popular destinations in 2010.
