January 17th is 'Holi-Monday'
Many Brits will be using the internet to secure their summer 2011
holidays to Florida and other destinations across the globe today (January 17th), it has been stated.
The date is this year's 'Holi-Monday', according to price comparison website travelsupermarket.com, which states it is expected to be the busiest day of the post Christmas rush for booking
holidays online.
Although January is typically the busiest time of year for booking
all inclusive holidays and other kinds of breaks, a barrage of TV and press adverts, as well as online deals, price reductions and sales, are expected to boost figures.
Indeed,
flight comparison site Skyscanner stated last week that nearly half (48 per cent) of people are more likely to book travel online than offline this year, highlighting the growing importance of the internet.
Online resources are increasingly being utilised by consumers to plan their breaks with some going on a virtual tour, checking out their desired destination before making a booking.
