Certain lines 'ideal for family cruises'
Britons planning family cruises this year have been offered some recommendations to ensure they make the right choice and have an enjoyable
holiday.
Carolyn Spencer Brown, editor-in-chief of news and reviews website Cruise Critic, pointed out that certain lines are more suited to the family market than others.
Major operators such as P&O Cruises and Royal Caribbean offer ships that combine children's entertainment with amenities and experiences for adults.
"For families wanting to cruise, you're much better off booking with a line that is all about families," said Ms Spencer Brown.
"P&O's Ventura and Azura, along with Norwegian Cruise Line, Celebrity, Disney and Royal Caribbean, are superb choices, with great kids' camps onboard, and yet still there's plenty to appeal to adults."
At the opposite end of the scale - relaxing, quiet cruise
holidays without the noise and activity generated by families and children - customers can choose from operators such as Fred.Olsen and Holland America Line.
Ms Spencer Brown also pointed out that P&O Cruises operates ships that are exclusively for adults.
