Catch Saturday Night Fever during a cruise holiday

There will be some colourful entertainment for travellers to enjoy during cruise holidays with Royal Caribbean this summer, following the recent debut of Saturday Night Fever: The Musical onboard Liberty of the Seas.

The production is the first West End show to feature on a Royal Caribbean cruise in Europe.

It is based on the cult 1970s movie starring John Travolta, which turned songs such as Stayin' Alive, Tragedy and More Than a Woman into timeless hits.

Lucas Rush plays the lead role in Royal Caribbean's version of the show, which is being performed at the Platinum Theatre.

Lisa Bauer, the cruise line's senior vice president of hotel operations, said: "We are delighted to offer a West End hit aboard Liberty of the Seas, just in time for the ship's maiden season in Europe this summer.

"Exceeding the expectations of our guests is part of the day-job at Royal Caribbean International, and the new Saturday Night Fever: The Musical show is set to be a real hit onboard."

British travellers can catch flights to Barcelona to embark on family cruises onboard Liberty of the Seas, which offers a range of activities including rock climbing, surfing and ice skating.
