Caribbean family cruises 'create lifelong memories'

Brits planning family cruises in the Caribbean can look forward to experiences that they will remember for a lifetime, according to Royal Caribbean.

The cruise line is promoting the popular holiday region following the announcement that it will be offering more services there during the winter 2012-13 season.

Six additional ships will be based in the area, including Adventure, Brilliance and Navigator of the Seas, joining the usual contingent of vessels including Oasis and Allure of the Seas, which are the largest in Royal Caribbean's fleet.

Guests sailing with the operator will have the opportunity to visit several scenic islands and luxurious retreats, including Grand Cayman, Key West, Cozumel and the Bahamas.

The cruises will set off from various ports in the Americas - including New York, Fort Lauderdale and New Orleans - and will range in duration from four to 12 nights.

Betsy O'Rourke, the cruise line's senior vice president of marketing, said: "Royal Caribbean's 2012-13 Caribbean cruises aboard some of the world's largest and most innovative cruise ships are perfect settings for families and couples of all ages to create memories that will last a lifetime."

She added: "There's something for everyone on board, from relaxing in the solarium to participating in the DreamWorks character parade to attending a Broadway musical."ADNFCR-2580-ID-800523142-ADNFCR
