The ships of the Royal Caribbean International line are truly magnificent. They include the largest passenger cruise vessels in the world, top of which is the recently built Oasis Of The Seas, which can carry over 5000 passengers. A Royal Caribbean cruise is a floating resort, with every recreation activity and entertainment style you can imagine. We at The Co-operative Travel have over 540 RCI cruises, to destinations around the globe.
Despite their size, RCI cruises are far from impersonal. Exciting and innovative, but with personal service at every turn, they’re equally popular with families and couples. Whether your cruise is for a special occasion, or just to give your family an unforgettable experience at sea, RCI has tailored programmes and packages to make the best of every moment. Their Gold Anchor Service ensures you’ll have the friendliest and most attentive crew on the high seas.

Royal Caribbean International has 22 vessels, of varying sizes. The Independence of the Seas and Jewel of the Seas both sail from Southampton, to ports in the Mediterranean, Spain, Canary Islands and Northern Europe. Other ships include the 138,000 ton Adventure of the Seas, which boasts an ice rink, rock-climbing wall and Royal Promenade. However, it will be dwarfed by the 220,000 ton Allure of the Seas, launched in December 2010 in time for the Christmas cruise season.
Tiny by comparison is the elegant 74,000 ton Grandeur of the Seas, launched in 1996 and furnished with a spa with six whirlpools, a jogging track and, like all Royal Caribbean International ships, an endless choice of bars and restaurants. Enchantment of the Seas, launched in 1997 but totally refurbished in 2005, is popular with families, not too large but furnished with Bungee trampolines, an interactive Splash Deck, suspension bridges and a Latin-themed dining lounge. The 3,114 passenger Explorer of the Seas, meanwhile, is well named - its facilities even include the state-of-the-art University of Miami Ocean Science Lab.
There’s never a dull moment on a Royal Caribbean International cruise. Whether it’s climbing the rock wall, working out at the gym or relaxing in the adult-only spa, everyone’s needs are taken care of.
Every vessel has a multitude of choices for wining and dining – which you can do on your own balcony veranda. There are also casinos, pool-side calypso bands, West-End style shows, live jazz lounges and open-air cinema screens. Dry land excursions include themes like wine tasting in Tuscany and glacier trekking in Alaska. For kids of 0 – 17 years there’s the action-packed Adventure Ocean program, as well as the Adventure Beach family area.
We at The Co-operative Travel guarantee our Royal Caribbean International cruises are like no other you’ll ever experience.
