Marrakech City Breaks

GENERAL

Sahara and Spice

Morocco is home to the awe inspiring city of Marrakech. A North West African destination sure to awaken your senses... from the haunting sound of the morning prayer, to the evening babble of the busy Djemma el-Fna. Explore Marrakech and get yourself lost in its maze of winding markets, take in the amazing smells, sights and experience typical Berber culture.

Relax in indulgent hammams, riads, & spas, enjoy shisha and fruity tagines with mint tea or take a trek out to the Atlas Mountains. Venture farther afield to sleep under the stars in the Sahara desert or stay centrally in some of the most luxurious hotels in the world.. whatever type of holiday you choose, you simply cannot fail to be inspired by Marrakech.

Djemaa el-Fna

Marrakech's central Medina, comes truly alive at night. Negotiate your way around the souk, enjoying friendly banter, haggling with stall owners for fabrics, carpets, pottery or spices. Stand and watch the animated storytellers, snake charmers and general market banter and get involved in the frantic yet relaxed pace of life here.

Ensure you leave your all-inclusive hotel to eat at one of the market food stalls in the evening, for cheap, local fare and a chat with the locals who love a good debate!

Atlas Mountains

Just a 2 hour drive from the centre of Marrakech is the gateway to the overwhelmingly scenic High Atlas Mountains.

If you fancy going on a trekking or walking holiday or just want to stretch your legs this is a great location and a once in a lifetime chance to experience real Berber life. Discover traditional mud and stone villages where the locals live, drink mint tea heated on open campfires under the stars and soak up the Atlas Mountain's mesmerising atmosphere.

Other attractions

With so much to see you may be happy just losing yourself in the city, but if you want to see the sights how about visiting the beautiful Koutoubia Tower (the largest mosque in Marrakech with a 70 meter high minaret) take yourself to the Bahia Palace or visit one of Morocco's stunning gardens for a breath of fresh air and a calming break from the hubbub of the city?

Book a day at a spa in one of Morocco's Riads for exotic relaxation and slip into surreal dreams of Indiana Jones style fantasies, endless camel treks and orange, sand swept cities
