The Co-operative has been planning and organising people's travel since 1920. Since then we've come a long way from sending small groups to France and Belgium to become the largest independent travel agent in the UK. In July 2007 The Co-operative Travel was officially formed as a result of the merger between The Co-operative Group and United Co-operatives.  The merger brought together the travel businesses of the two organisations - Travelcare and Coop Travel - creating a network of over 400 high street travel branches and the largest independent travel agent in the UK.
